Taxi's
Here are a couple of numbers for taxi's in the area. You may want to use them to pick you up from the train station or after the wedding. Because we're in the country, there aren't so many taxi's. You may want to think about gathering a group of people that are going to the same area, and hire a taxi together.

Directions and Information
Directions to Sam and Laura’s wedding
From Hudson and Catskill:
Take route 23 east toward Claverack,
Continue straight on 23 east toward Hillsdale and the Taconic Parkway.
Take first left after The Yorkshire Restaurant Onto Old Barrington Rd.
After a couple of miles take a left onto Oak Hill Rd.
Continue on for 1 mile, until you reach green Iron Gates, this is 595 Oak Hill Rd on the left. You may drive in through the gates to drop off guests, but you will need to park back out on the roadside on Oak Hill road.
From the Taconic:
Take the exit for Route 23 or Claverack/Hillsdale and drive towards Claverack on Route 23 west, about 2 miles from intersection of Taconic and Route 23. At crest of hill you will see on right a large (green) billboard that says "..Majestic pools and spas" in front of which there is a dirt road marked “Old Barrington Road”. Occasionally the sign says something else, and I'll notify you of any changes, Just look for a billboard behind the Old Barrington Rd. sign, it's a huge sign and you can't miss it.
Take this right onto Old Barrington Rd.
Follow Old Barrington Road about .7 miles to second right marked Oak Hill Road.
Follow Oak Hill Road exactly 1 mile until you arrive at green iron gates on right. There is a Tibet flag marking the entrance.
You may drive in through the gates to drop off guests, but you will need to park back out on the roadside on Oak Hill road.
Flag day preparations:
June 14th is Flag Day in Hudson and there is an annual parade. It is a lot of fun if you have a chance to see it but, please be advised that parking and driving on main streets in Hudson will be modified . Talk to your innkeeper about the best routes to take to get to Rte 23 as they will change due to the Flag Day Parade.
A couple of recommended things to do in the area:
The Hudson Valley area is beautiful and especially nice in June so enjoy the scenery and the fresh air.
You can visit Olana, the historic grounds and home of painter Fredrick Church.
Take a walk through downtown Hudson, to browse the stores and watch the Flag Day Parade.
Go for a walk at: Bash Bish Falls in Copake in Copake near the Mass. Border.
The Greenport Conservation in Greenport is a great open space to go and stretch your legs and see a gorgeous view of the Catskill Mountains.

Attire
Many of you are asking about what to wear.
Because the wedding is outside and under a tent, heels and hard soled shoes may not feel so nice.
Be comfortable and joyful, the dress code is 'country festive'.
See you soon.

Email addresses
Here are the email addresses of some of the Inns we have listed below along with a few new ones we've added. All the places are clean and comfortable. Some are more charming and lovely than others :) Because most of the B&B's and Inns only have a few rooms you will want to book a room at the inn of your choice, at your earliest convienence.
